March Madness

March 31st is the deadline for the presidential hopefuls to file with Federal Elections Commission the campaign contributions they've received so far in '07.  A few weeks later we find out what's in their wallet -- who's got the financial muscle at the moment.  You know the old saying, "it takes money to make money".  So true in the Amazing '08 Race.

Hillary's favorite dress and the Gore Guessing Game

Will he or won't he run?  Fans of Al Gore are holding out hope, especially after his Capitol Hill testimony this week.  Based on what I've read, I don't think it's going to happen.  Find out why in my posting.
Also, it seems that Senator Hillary Clinton has a favorite campaign dress.  I've spotted her in it (on video) on three separate days the past few weeks.  Just being observant...

Condom Sense and Think Obama

More to report on in the Amazing '08 Race.  Senator John McCain was shaky at the wheel answering questions about AIDS and condoms on board the Straight Talk Express.  Meanwhile, Senator Hillary Clinton is mocked in a new Youtube ad (a spoof of a 1984 ad for Apple computers) supporting Senator Obama. The message in it is clear: political cliches are out.  Authenticity is in.  Better get on board.

Hillary in hot water with the gays...

I know it has been a week since I last posted, but I'm back, and plan to make my updates highly frequent from here on out.  So please keep checking back.  This posting is about how Senator Hillary Clinton responded to General Peter Pace calling homosexuality immoral. It's one of the most touchy subjects for politicians -- their answer, whatever it might be, sure it anger some voters.  Clinton ended up having to issue two apologies this week to the gay community.

In this posting I talk about Clinton and Obama.  If you want to know about what the Republicans had to say on the subject, check out this article from Politico:  Republicans Dodge Homosexuality Question.

The Amazing '08 Race

In this posting, I cover this week's hot topics in the '08 presidential race as a mock-episode of the reality show "The Amazing Race".  Let's hope I don't get a cease-and-desist letter from CBS.

Coulter Culture

When Ann Coulter called presidential candidate John Edwards a "faggot", she was applauded by the audience at a conference for conservatives.  In this posting I look at the reaction from the blogosphere.

Get Ready Rudi...

The big news in politics this week was Senator John McCain announcing on Letterman that he's entering the '08 race.  The pundits speculated that McCain felt he needed to apply some of his maverick magic to keep Rudi Giuliani from getting too far out ahead of him in the polls (Giuliani now has a double-digit lead).  Giuliani better watch his back... his opponents for the nomination are going after him on what they perceive to be his soft, socially-liberal underbelly.  Check out this video blog entry to see what I mean.
