Chinese Lesbian Pop Star Busts Out!!!

Blogonly_qiaoqiao
Meet the first out lesbian Chinese pop star: Qiao Qiao!!!

Okay, I'm guessing all of you readers in China know this already, but did the rest of you know there's a big fabulous out lesbian pop-star in China? Yay! Her name is Qiao Qiao and she's come out (literally) with the first lesbian-themed Chinese pop tune that comes with its own totally sweet girl-crushin' video.

The tune is called "Ai Bu Fen," which translates roughly as "Love No Difference" (or more eloquently, "Love Does Not Discriminate") and is about a women totally in love with another woman. Sure, it's kind of a full-on cheesy pop ballad, but why not? And the video is pretty sweet. Two ballerinas fall for each other, flirt, romp along the seashore, and do all sorts of corny lovey-dovey stuff (there are even ruby red sequined dance shoes involved). But don't let the video's mushy/greeting-card vibe fool you. There's a plot twist that totally made me gasp out loud.

A still from the "Ai Bu Fen" video. Pretty!!!

Anyway... Check it out. And you can read all about it on the Asian gay website, Fridae, that's got a big article about it. (Thanks to writer Malinda Lo for the tip-off.) Turns out Qiao Qiao is quite the lesbian celebrity back home in China. Maybe she can crossover here!

What an insult , on every level.

The death of proper Chinese culture , along with the world's.

Ying and Yang is man and woman....the way we are created.
Anything else is desecration.
"lesbianism" is selfish , irresponsible perversity.
