Queer Hip-Hop Rules! And Tours!

Deadlee: Bringing his hip-hop HomoRevolution to town...
Saw a mention on Towleroad that lead me to this article/interview with Deadlee about a concert this Sunday in Long Beach, CA which will raise funds for this spring's HomoRevolution Tour. (Whew!) The basics are that a group of about 8-10 queer hip-hop artists will be touring around the Southwest this March and April, spreading their killer beats and rhymes, as well as smashing through boundaries and perceptions about who can crank out hip-hop, and opening minds in the process.
The folks on the tour are all pretty awesome. I'm partial to Bigg Nugg (the bearish rapper from Ohio), Melange Lavonne (who's all intense and fresh), Salvimex (L.A. boys who apparently put the "B" in LGBT) and NYC's own Soce, The Elemental Wizard. But get more about the whole deal at the HomoRevolution website.

Melange Lavonne (left) and Soce, the Elemental Wizard are gonna step up the HomoRevolution.

And so is Salvimex...

And Ohio's Bigg Nugg, too.
And, check out Deadlee's interview (and his music) and get out and support the HomoRevolution Tour!

Represent, Gays!
P.S. You can also check out Deadlee's video for "Gold Soldier II" on Logo's The Click List tonight at midnight. This week Deadlee hits the #6 spot in the Top Ten. Coolio!
