I hope you are enjoying the show as much as I am. It is like a video yearbook for me. It's pretty funny looking back and seeing Ben and myself at that time. Our relationship has been a constant evolving deal. We will always be in each others life in way or another, and he is truly a good person.
As far as when the health inspector came into i candy, it was the most stressful thing that I have ever experienced. Everyone in the world was betting against us and everything was at stake. That one man had an entire year of my work in his hands and with one stroke of his pen could have really destroyed a lot. I was absolutely overcome with emotion when he told me that we passed. I just broke down. I was happy, but the emotion overwhelmed me.
What also was not shown on the show, due to time constraints, was that I woke up the morning of grand opening very sick with the flu. I went to the Dr. that afternoon and had a very high fever. I had not been sick for a long time, but I think that I simply wore myself down. But I had gone way too far not to try to stick it out and fight through for another day.
Again, I want to thank everyone for all of your support and emails. I don't see myself as a role model, but it does mean the world to me when people write and say that i have helped them in some small way. To them I say, "Remember....You are not alone in this!!!!!!!"
