Now, that it’s been five years since 9/11, the movies and TV-movies documenting those events are starting to come forth. We’ve had United 93 and WTC in theaters of late, and just this week Saint of 9/11, which documents the life of the openly gay NYFD chaplain Father Mychal Judge debuted in cinemas. And there’s also ABC’s controversial The Path to 9/11 which begins its two-night run this Sunday.

But there’s another 9/11-relevant film debuting on TV this weekend, and that’s WTC View which debuts on Logo on Sunday at 10pm EST. But it’s not a tale of firefighters or terrorists. It’s a simple story about one guy, who happens to be gay and living in NYC when the towers come down. Turns out he had placed an ad looking for a new roommate in his downtown apartment on September 10th, 2001 with the ad boasting a “WTC View.” The next morning everything changed, but as the film’s writer and director Brian Sloan (who based part of this story on his own 9/11 experience in NYC, and how he himself was looking for a roommate during this time) explains, by as soon as September 12th, people were calling asking to see the room. And they all had their own stories to tell.
In WTC View, Michael Urie plays Eric, who’s got his own issues to work through post 9/11, and it’s basically a story of grieving and surviving. And yes, there are cute guys in it, too. You can also check out video interviews with Sloan and the cast of the film at LogoOnline.com. And again, the film will broadcast on Logo this Sunday at 10pm, EST.
Greatings, Thank you! I would now go on this blog every day! Thank you Charlie
