Cyndi Lauper is herding up the popstars for big summertime gay-ride! Above, Lauper looking glam during Fashion Week in NYC last month. And onstage last summer at the Gay Games. Looooove her!
This one's gonna be fast...
Cyndi Lauper is heading up a big gay-la-palooza tour this summer that's gonna chug a busload of queer-beloved artists through 15 cities this coming June. The True Colors Tour will feature Lauper, Erasure, Debbie Harry, host Margaret Cho, The Gossip, MisShapes, and the Dresden Dolls rocking out from Las Vegas to Boston and L.A., with lots of stops all over in between from June 8th through June 30th. Rufus Wainwright and the Indigo Girls (and Rosie O'Donnell -- not singing hopefully) will also join in for certain dates. Gay, gay, gay!!!
Gayest. Tour. Ever!!!! Clockwise from top left: Debbie Harry, The Gossip, Rufus Wainwright & Margaret Cho are gonna get truly colorful this summer.
More after the jump!
Also on board...
Those happy, perky MisShapes DJ kids are going to cheer up the True Colors tour with their upbeat sounds. (Really... This is them in a good mood.)
And Andy Bell and Erasure will also be floating in on a happy gay cloud to entertain you, too.
The entire thing will be a big fundraiser for LGBT charities, mainly the Human Rights Campaign, and it will also promote the good works of PFLAG and the Matthew Shepard Foundation. And Logo is sponsoring this whole big deal.
Get lots more info online at TrueColoursTour.com. And pick out which date you wanna attend from their site. I think I wanna go to the Toronto show on June 19th. It's at the Molson Amphitheatre which sounds outdoorsy, beer-soaked and full of jolly Canucks. Hurrah!
